The Provincial Intervention Impact Report for 2024 highlights how the Data Driven Districts (DDD) programme is helping education officials use data more effectively to improve learner outcomes across South Africa. Working in partnership with Provincial Education Departments, the initiative reached more than 109,000 Grade 12 learners across seven provinces through targeted training, mentoring, school support, and district-level interventions designed to strengthen data-driven decision-making and learner support.
The report showcases the measurable impact of these efforts, including improved NSC pass rates, increased Bachelor passes, stronger use of the DDD Dashboard, and more targeted interventions for learners at risk of underperforming. It also shares key lessons, success stories, and recommendations for scaling data-informed support across the education system, demonstrating how the strategic use of data can drive meaningful and lasting improvements in learner achievement.
